  • Fabrics on-line?

Ok crafty folks...I am attempting a rather large project for the boys for Christmas and Hanukkah (thanks SuzyS) and can't seem to get enough time in a fabric store on my own so I am thinking of ordering on-line. My worry is that I won't be able to see the fabric and shipping time. All the material I am using is felt so I don't need to really feel it but I do need it by the end of next week.

What's the best place to use for on-line fabric shopping? Free shipping would also be a plus. I imagine that I will be spending 50-80 bucks on material.

    Thanks crafty, wise ones

I'm not crafty at all, but my friend who is super crafty loves spoonflower.com She says it offers quality fabrics and a ton of selection.

For something as simple as felt fabric.com or Joann's. Have fun!

You may want to check out Walmart.com, Hobby Lobby, and Amazon

I 2nd fabric.com . They're on ebates, you can usually get a coupon, and free shipping. Also, IF there were a problem, they accept returns, which a lot of the smaller houses won't.

I used fabric.com 95% of the time. Their minkee is the best. Like Jenn said they're on ebates. Free shipping on orders over $35 and I am always able to find a 10-20% coupon. In my experience their shipping is fast. 2 days after processing which if I order first thing in the morning, I usually get a tracking # by the next morning if not by that evening.

I'm too indecisive!! Deciding between the train, the red/blue house or the farm stand...which one are you doing for R?

I order the swatches from fabric.com. I'm glad I did before purchasing large yardage. Sometime it looks a lot different. They get them to you pretty quick.

I order swatches for cottons and prints, but the felt is pretty much bright and standard.

I'm making my house purple w/a pink roof and green door.
