  • First quilt :)))

I pieced this top together 2 years ago when I was preggers with Jude. When did I have the time? LOL. My mom has a friend with a longarm quilter, and they backed, binded and quilted it. I'm so excited. I made it extra large for family summer picnics. We have a lot of outdoor concerts here in the summer. I can't wait to use it next summer! Now i'm inspired to piece another top, but can't seem to carve out the time. Click on the pic to enlarge the view. Excuse the blurry iphone pic.

Here is the free pattern from Anna Maria Horner's website. The entire thing is constructed from triangles. Learning to not knick my points was challenging.

It is adorable. My mom is a long-arm quilter and triangles are a PIA to piece. She is always trying to get me to be a quilter. It's never going to happen. LOL

I love it!!! (I look at what I used to do when the kids were younger too and shake my head. They run you more ragged as they grow!)
