I have a monthly subscription at Kiwi Crate for dd. She sits for a good hour working on crafts, and we usually finish the entire box in one sitting! I didn't think I'd enjoy helping her as much as I do, and am thinking about subscribing to am adult version. Which one do you recommend? I don't know how to sew (beyond buttons) nor knit, so it has to be pretty basic.

There is an adult version of this?! Where do I sign up?
Tell me more about Kiwi Crate too. I've been thinking of asking the grandparents to get a subscription for the boys (add it to the list for when MILK asks what she can get them) but I wondered if they'd would be able to handle it. Bear in mind, K1 is very inclined toward noisy gross motor activities. K2 loves painting/drawing/gluing and is just in raptures when he sits down at the craft table in play group; he'll spend the entire class carefully choosing his supplies and planning out his masterpiece. But he is just turning 2yo and the Kiwi Crate stuff looked like it may be too difficult for him. Thoughts?Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

A friend of mine subscribes to whimseybox, but I can't really tell what kind of projects there are. There's another called Lullubee that looks nice but it looks like intermediate sewing skills are required.married to an anesthesia attending

I've never seen a subscription, supplies-arrive-in-the-mail adult craft idea. There's your million dollar idea!
We've done Kiwi and Little Passports a la Auntie. My kids LOVED them. They'd ransack the mail every.single.day even though it's only once a month. They didn't understand that part. It was so exciting. I would probably feel the same way if it was a surprise for me.-Ladybug

I haven't tried it, but I think Brit + Co has adult craft kit subscriptions.

I found this pretty comprehensive list of monthly subscription box services. Several are for crafts. Others are for cooking, fashion, sexy stuff. There are reviews of lots of them too.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.
