Harry Potter Birthday

K1 is turning 8! Is that just unbelievable? We are having a Harry Potter birthday party at home. 20 kids, mostly boys. I've been working like a mad woman. Here is a sneak peek.

Students will be sorted upon arrival. Each house has it's own schedule.

This one has become an obsession. I have to keep reminding K1 that I'm not an actual wizard as he keeps coming up with magical plans. I'm excited for this one.

Mine have never even had a birthday party. I can't handle it and they haven't asked so...no parties it is! I thought for sure when they started preschool they would ask but nope.

It's awesome that you get such joy from it. I know a lot of moms who do it because their child wants it but they don't get a lot of joy from it. You can tell that you really enjoy it and I'm sure that makes it all the more awesome. Although your future in laws (children's spouses) may hate you when your kids expect this level of creativity every year!

I figure the kids will grow out of it. Every time, I think "I can't keep doing this three times a year forever!" Then, after its over, I think " I'm so bummed I won't get to do this forever!"
