Don't fall into weekend revelry. One study in the journal Obesity, reported that people consume 115 extra calories on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This can add up to an additional 5 pounds a year. In order to avoid this, try to balance out your intake over the entire week. Add an extra workout if you know you will indulge at a party. Don't use the weekend as an excuse to overeat.
