I came to the sickening realization yesterday that my marathon is one month away and that I have to run 20 miles next Saturday.

Oh Gawd, I hate the late training 20 miler. IMHO, it is worse than the actual marathoner.
Me? I'm questioning my commitment to training.
Can I just kind of run normally and "wing it" come January? I'm only sort of kidding. Not really. sort of.

I know the feeling! Last time I trained for a marathon I got injured and definitely thought to myself, "you know it would be painful to go out and wing it but at least I probably wouldn't get hurt because I'd have to run slowly." But then I realized that I'd be mad at myself and would want to do another to see what I could do.
That's why I love the half marathon distance because you can sort of wing it.
