  • jogging strollers?

I'm trying to exercise more, but since dd (15 m) is glued to me all day, I need to include her. I was considering a jogging stroller...any suggestions on brands or models? Also, does your kid like riding? My brother said his toddler can't see out it very well and that he doesn't always enjoy it.

    Thanks!

    Gah!! Lost my whole post...

Ok, so as I was saying...

We currently have the basic Expedition jogging stroller ($99 at Babies R Us when we got it a couple of years ago)

This is the current model, ours doesn't have the front swivel wheel or child snack tray. I can't say that I really miss either feature, though. We like ours and use the heck out of it, I've probably put 600-800 miles on it now and it's still in great shape. DS likes riding in it (but then, he's been riding in it since he was 4 months old so he's probably really used to it by now!), and he can see just fine. I don't know why a toddler wouldn't be able to see out of it.

If money had been no object (and if we'd had a little bit of foresight ), I probably would have gotten this Phil & Ted's stroller

As it is, we're thinking about buying this one now and getting the infant seat attachment for when the baby comes.

      We have the Chariot:

and we bought the running wheel, the walking wheels and the bike attachments. and when I say "We Bought", I mean I stupidly allowed my husband to do this and he brought home gadgets.

That said, it has hundreds of miles on it at this point, it has held up amazingly well and it'll hold up to 55 pounds which is great for the bike attachment. I think once a dude is 55 pounds, he should be able to ride along side for short rides but my husband is contemplating biking him to school.

The walking wheels are great because it makes it turn on a dime. The running wheel is stationary and I find it hard to maneuver but I usually also am negotiating the dog, too.

It's basically the only stroller we have ever used. (and it does fold up and it actually fit in the MINI we used to have.)

No experience with it yet, but we're getting the Bob Revolution stroller, there is another thread around here somewhere but it got really good reviews here and on other sites I belong to.

We have the Bob sport utility stroller and we've been very pleased. We haven't used it as much as we thought we would....but that is more because of our own laziness than anything we can blame on DD.

            Re: jogging strollers?

We just bought a baby jogger Q series. This is a little bit stupid since Luke is already 3 and so... But anyway, his other stroller is not handling the sidewalk, and I like Baby Jogger brand, and it was on sale. Plus we have a puppy on the way so I'm going to need to do more walking... I don't really run the jogger strollers- we had a double baby jogger for the twins that I put hundreds of miles on...

            Anyway...

We like the Baby Jogger brand. They have the stationary front wheel, but that's never been a problem to me. The stroller we got is $210 with free s/h now.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are planning on having another kiddo pretty soon, so I think we may hold off for a double. I'll just have to start super power walking with my regular stroller until then!
