I had to post this today. As you might have read I've been on this doctor prescribed diet after having mediocre weight loss results (5-7pounds) on my own for about two months. My weight was out of control. I was referred to an endocrin doc after getting back some labs. I stuck to the diet she prescribed and started some meds to help lower my insulin level. My meds made me go nuts after I took them so I went in today for her to discus what we should do about the meds. When she saw that I'd lost 15 pounds since first seeing her 5 weeks ago I thought she was going to do cartwheels down the hall way! LOL! She has been in practice a few years but is somewhat new to this practice. Here's the good part.........
She told me that I am her number 1 best pt. with such positive results- EVER! I guess most endocrin docs see a lot of non compliant pts. You could have knocked me over with a feather. My blood pressure was back in a normal range and she took me off the meds since "life style" modifications are "working." I was happy for myself and happy for her. I know from a doctor's point of view she felt wonderful to have a pt. with such good results because I stuck with what she told me to do. Ahhh maannn. This was a good day!!
