Anyone doing the Wii Active 30 day challenge? I just started today and it was a really good workout and fun too!

I have it! Great workout, but I did not get through the challenge, but I really like it! Maybe I'll try again.

I started this, too! I love the rollerblading exercise. I really get a good sweat, and love that I can determine if I want light, moderate or intense workout.

Thanks for asking Syl. It is so much better. Calcific tendonitis with some rotator cuff issues. Luckily the ortho was able to remove the calcium deposit in his office (it was not in the rotator cuff itself), that plus the cortisone shot and physical therapy has made a world of difference. I still have to be careful with it but I am so much better.

After day 1 of the workout I am SOOO sore but feel good. I am going to do my best to actually finish the challenge.

I started one over the summer, but with traveling, and whatnot, I never finished!

Maybe I will start again and try to make it through - it was SUPER fun, though!

I was really impressed with the workout I got. Sweat was pouring off my body.

DH is doing the challenge and has been begging me to join him. Maybe I will, I'm just getting back on the treadmill wagon and being off all summer.

                  YIKES, I'm afraid!!!

Tara, what happened to your shoulder?

I developed tendonitis last year when I got a little overzealous playing wii tennis. Rotator cuff injuries hurt are sooo painful!!!!

Okay - I bought it yesterday, but am afraid to open it. I'm looking for something to do on my "off" days (cycling at the gym 10 to 12 miles on MWF). Up until now I've been walking, but it's getting chilly to take Mattie on an hour or 90 minute walk.

It looks great, but are there a lot of low-impact activities. I see running on the package, and running is simply not an option for me. I must protect my knees.

I think you might be able to choose your activities. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I have mine set so that they choose them for me. You can also choose your intensity level. The running is more like a jog for about two minutes. It's not alot of running at all because you only do each activity for a short period of time. I've also done lunges, kick boxing, boxing, and roller blading on it. I also know that there is another exercise game on Wii called Personal Trainer I think.

So do you have to have wii fit to do the wii active workouts or no?

Anyone done both active and fit? We have neither but thinking of maybe purchasing one or the other.

We have the Wii fit. If you have it you can use it with the Active, but don't have to. My personal favorite on the Fit is the Hula Hoop. I work up quite a sweat and I am the master!

BTW Wii Fit is more for fun, not for serious exercise.
