I can get it for us if we have interest. I read the info online and it looks like a very healthy program - similar to what I've been trying to accomplish myself. I need rules.Angie

I like training years vs. med school years vs. us bon bon inhaling attending wives. You have youth, we have money. The training years people have well....they have the most hard core 'tudes at least! I need some team-mates. I'll check in to the book tonight and report back if it is do-able.Angie

Yeah, Angie, how's that for finding a silver lining. Odds of winning:
attending spouses: 1/2
med school spouses: 1/2
in-training: 1/10000000000000000000000000000000000
That is unless the in-training spouses get a handicap for having me on their team. Seriously.Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

I'd consider it if the rules aren't too crazy. Do you know how we're judged? Is it Biggest Loser style, with percentage lost? Or is it body fat percentage, inches, pounds?
Honestly, I can't really complain about the number on the scale, except I know I've gone downhill and I'm not fit at all. How sad is it when some of the obese people on The Biggest Loser seem to have more endurance than me?Cristina

As far as I can tell, it is more of a healthy living system than a strict diet. They give points for sleep, exercise, breaking old bad habits and establishing new habits as well as healthy diet and weight loss. So.....could work even if you don't want to lose a lot of weight.
For instance, I'm working on stopping hitting my kids when they are reading over my shoulder when I'm typing on the iMSN site. (guess what's going on here right now )
I'm getting the book tomorrow. I'll post more about it and how we could execute it when I know.Angie

I agree with the youth versus money assessment. However, don't discount the potentcy of the rage fueled residency years. I think that they may have the secret hidden edge. It was during this time frame when I ran three marathons in four years and countless half marathons. I mean, I was PISSED, baby.
Now I'm a soft champagne swigging, caviar inhaling attending's wife. I'll have to see if I can ask dear Sven to find an equally cute tennis pro to motivate me.
