  • Shape Ups

I was wondering if anyone had the shoes called Shape-Ups. I am on my feet all day (8+ hours) and was looking into these. Any suggestions?

DH doubts that they really work, but who knows. I didn't hear good reviews about the fit flops so I don't have much hope in these either, but then again I'd be willing to try anything that advertises that it tones my legs and butt!

I'll be curious to hear if anyone else has tried them?

True dat! My MIL wears some sort of fitness shoes. She has at least two pair. She looks even more idiotic that usual. Even I wouldn't wear them, and I got off the fashion train in the mid-nineties. Not that I was ever in a forward car. Okay, so I didn't get off the train. I was thrown off. I never bought a ticket. I wanted to, but I was never cool enough.

Say no to wearing them in public. If you want to wear them around your house it might work.

They do look like some kind of medical/special shoe, which would be my issue with them.... but have you heard that Reebok has a toning shoe that looks TOTALLY normal? Then again who knows if they actually work or they are just an extra expensive pair of shoes!

I wear MBTs (http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7422730/c/154410.html). No they are NOT attractive and completely dorky looking BUT when I tried them out three years ago the next stop was to the physical therapist for knee and hip issues I was having due to teaching high impact aerobics on a concrete surface when I was younger (oh those were the days). Anyway, I no longer have ANY troubles with my knees or hips. MBTs ROCK (literally). You should note that Shape-ups made my Sketchers are a very cheap imitation. I've tried them on and they are no where near an MBT. In terms of the MBT helping with toning, etc I have not noticed any of that but I always recommend them for anyone on their feet for long hours or people with foot, knee, hip, or even back issues.
