Anyone ever done this? I am thinking about doing it while DH is on away rotations.

Oh Dear God. I had to use the handicapped bars in the ladies room at work if that give you any indication of how sore I was! But it was tons of fun and the instructor was great- it if didn't entail getting up at 4:45 to drive across town, I'd do it again. (well, obviously not while my husband is in DC- but I would absolutely do it again. It was nice to be outside, even in the cold and rain.

I did half of one. I stupidly signed up for it 6 weeks before finals and the staying up until 2am for projects/studying/papers and getting up at 5am to work out wasn't working well for me.
I was supposed to finish when I got back to Oklahoma in the fall, but the asses wouldn't let me because "I wouldn't get the full benefit of the program." Duh...I just wanted to get my second $150--3 weeks is better than nothing!
You've done P90x, right? I would say they are on the same level and are very similar. If you already own P90x, I wouldn't waste the money on a boot camp.
Once I got passed the sheer horribleness of waking up at 5am (in my defense, I was in college and staying up to midnight or later regularly) the actual workouts weren't that bad. However, I'd go with a more established company if you do decide to do it.
Mine was run by a personal trainer who got results, but the food plan was horribly bland and I questioned some of the exercises. Having everyone work out with milk jugs half-filled with sand seems stupid--not everyone can handle the same weight, and they put a horrible strain on your wrists. I had a nasty cut from one of them for 2 weeks. Some of the other ones just seemed over-the-top too--not designed to avoid injury.
If you do end up doing it, I'd start now. I did it in the cold mornings of March and April (which aren't even that cold in Oklahoma compared to where you are) and when I would go back home, I would be chilled to the bone for a good hour no matter what I did. I've never been that cold in my life.
My take is you would get better results with Insanity or P90x, though the motivation of the boot camp could help if you have trouble getting motivated on your own.Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

I do have p90X the only problem is since you do it at home, most of the time I don't do it. I need go somewhere and have someone tell me to do these things. This is the place I am thinking about joining. http://stlouisadventurebootcamp.com/site/index.php I think they have locations throughout the US

I haven't done a boot camp, but I've really taken a liking to the fitness classes offered at my gym. The peer pressure really helps me... there's definitely a benefit to being held accountable by other people around you.Julia - legislative process lover and general government nerd, married to a PICU & Medical Ethics attending, raising a toddler son and expecting a baby daughter Oct '16.
