Gummy multivitamins that they sell at Costco. I used to take Centrum, but I started having trouble swallowing the huge pill (actually choked a few times). I should probably take some of the other things listed here soon...

I take a multivitamin (what ever is cheap when I am in the store) plus addtional iron 2x a day. But I also take 6 mg of ibuprofen 2x a day because my ulnar nerve is irritated from all of the knitting and sewing. And since the odds of me giving those up is next to nil, I am hooked on nsaids

I take a multivit, for active women. I used to take GNC MegaWoman Vit pack then the Be Healthy: but honestly it became too many pills to take in the morning and would upset my stomach if I didn't have a substantial breakfast to buffer it in my tummy. So now I just take a basic one-a-day for now.

I do also take 2000mg of Vit C (chewables ) where I take usually at night: truth be told: it wards off colds for me. When I remember to take it regularly, I barely ever get a "achooo" or "sniffle," I swear to it.

I do also take Echinesea at least once a day during the fall and spring seasons, to help with that transitional period of weather where colds are lurking, but I don't take it like 3 times a day like they sugguest.

I am a big fan of this flex seed oil or fish oil. ( my dog gets fish oil for his coat lol ) I think maybe I should take some (flax or fish) and see if it can improve my coat! lol. I have taken it before, but with no regularity to account for much.

Drinking 1 glass of 1% organic milk keeps my nails white and strong: only thing that seems to keep me nails somewhat looking healthy.

I would love to try that prescription B complex that was mentioned earlier...I would love nails that cut cardboard and hair that shines in the sun! What is the script..maybe I can talk my doc into helping me out

I take gummy multi-vitamins at night. It's a nice little treat and I don't forget because they are so yummy! My nails are also really strong right away!

Do you guys know of any multi's with low/mild/chelated iron? I want to take a multi, but the iron in them gives me horrible nausea.

i'm almost certain that DH's great-aunt takes a multi from GNC (their brand) with no iron and takes the iron on her own...

Ooh, good idea! We have the Vitamin Shoppe here where DH gets his bodybuilding/weightlifting crap. I'll have to run down there and check out what they have in stock.

I reminded him that he has a full closet downstairs with jars and jars of protein, vitamins, etc. He LOVES to shop so he said: "well, I need more".
Why is it that said crap comes in giant-normous tubs and take so much space??? Helllo, have they heard about being "green"?????

I grew up with a vitamin-freak for a mom. I think at one point (between her prescribed pills and her supplements) she was taking over 20 pills a day.

                        When I remember, I take
                        Prenatal (has some iron)
                        DHA
                        Iron (documented anemia)
Vitamin C (to help w iron absorption)
Calcium (which I'm pretty sure affects my other pills absorption - but I can't remember to take pills more than once a day)
B6 - it's a precursor to a lot of neurotransmitters and can help stabilize moods...I do think it helps me not swing so wide

My sister used to take biotin (stopped when she was pregnant bc she couldn't find if it was ok or not)...and she said it REALLY helped her hair and nails....stronger shinier, etc.

I give the boys "my first Flintstones" when I remember to take mine. I don't really see a difference except in their pee. The days they take it, their pee smells strong.

I take a comprehensive multi with more than normal Vit. D and 800 units of Calcium citrate with magnesium and Vitamin D. I do notice a huge difference in my joints. I am lactose intolerant and stopped eating dairy about 6 years ago. When I did, I didn't immediately start with calcium sups. (I'm an idiot.) After a year, I had weird stiffness and pain in my knees and my hips. After about 6 mos of taking the vitamin sups, it went away. I haven't stopped for longer than a few weeks since then - but I do believe that the calcium and the D made a significant difference in my health.

I'd like to add that multi's can be dramatically different. After running out in a different city, I went through a number of bottles to see if I could find something with enough D to supplement my supplement (of calcium ) and I was amazed at how much the formulations varied. I was also amazed at how many through in caffeine.

I take a basic multi-vitamin just because I think I should. It also gives me neon yellow expensive looking pee, sweet deal. I take folic acid because my mom tells me to every time the topic of kids comes up. My sister had my 2nd niece sort of unplanned and a little bit older and there was a period of time when my niece was little that the doctors thought she had tethered-cord syndrome so I am constantly lectured on the importance of folic acid. (it turned out she didn't).

I also take fish oils, but I am thinking about switching to flaxseed because as I previously posted my husband leaves these in his pockets and they go through the wash and can destroy an entire load of laundry. Imagine smelling like the weird fish smell instead of just burping it up... it's awful. I actually give our dogs fish oils to help with inflammation. Our 10 year-old malamute mix has torn both of his ACLs (he was too big and old for surgery so he wears ACL braces, they are awesome!) and he has arthritis in his hips so he gets 4 fish oils a day and this has really helped him. He isn't on prescription pain killers because of them, despite the fact that the vet told me 2 years ago that he wouldn't be able to walk without taking pain medication on a daily basis! The dogs don't seem to mind the funky fish taste, our lab actually breaks them open with his teeth to eat them, ick!

I take my kids' gummy bear vitamins.

And DH hands me a fish oil supplement every time he remembers. He's a fish oil fanatic. I don't notice any aftertaste, but I'm going to check out flaxseed now anyway.

I also take Tums when I remember, because they're handy & because I'm at super high risk for osteoporosis (my mom has it). Any other suggestions on calcium are welcome...

I don't notice any difference in how I feel. The only things that have ever made me feel significantly more energetic are A) birth control pills (go figure) and B) long-distance running.
