I would like to get a couple of exercise videos but I'm lost on what to get. I like yoga & stretching so was thinking a mellowish yoga tape that had short & longer routines. I also love to dance and think a hip hop or belly dancing type video might be fun. I'm not looking for a killer workout though the dancing would be high energy. I saw the AM/PM Yoga video on Amazon that sounds pretty good, but I have no clue really & not a lot of time to do research. Any recs?

Aren't you in NYC? A friend owns a Bollywood style dance company in NYC & DC that has been featured on Oprah, CBS This Morning & Dr. Oz. They do a Zumba style workout but w/Bollywood moves. They're called dhoonya dance. I have no idea where in NyC they are, but here's hoping it's just down the street!

Thanks for the suggestion Jen. Unfortunately we are too broke to pay for any classes. A video or two is pretty cheap if I find them used & I wouldn't need a sitter. Once dh is an attending and money is flowing I will definitely be trying out different types of dance & taking yoga regularly. It's a bit of a bummer being so broke in NYC. There are so many awesome things to do but they all cost money. Boo.Wife to Hand Surgeon just out of training, mom to two lovely kittys and little boy, O, born in Sept 08.

I get quite a workout with the Just Dance game for the Wii - if you have a Wii you might be able to pick up a used copy of the first version somewhere for cheap! It's so fun too!High school sweetheart and wife to an MS4 cutie, and mom to pretty baby J, silly Siamese kitty, crazy Weim, and funny ferret.

I just rented the Dancing w/ the Stars workout dvd from our library. Once I try it out I'll let you know if it's any good. Does your local library have a good selection of some you could try? That way if you find something you really like you can buy it.
Also, Jillian Michaels just put out a new line of yoga videos. Not sure how intense they are though. She tends to be hard core & kicks my butt.
We own the Zumba set & it's pretty fun.Charlene~Married to an attending Ophtho Mudphud and Mom to 2 daughters

I LOVE love love love Yoga Booty Ballet. It is fun and silly, but a great workout. They have several different dvds, all of them have an aerobic dancing section, then a ballet type strength section, and great yoga and stretching at the end. They range from 25 minutes to an hour.
My favorite is http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Booty-Ballet-Rehearsal-Meditation/dp/B0012KF34K/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1294680738&sr=8-4 that one.
Hip Hob abs and Cardio caberet are two of my other favorites. But they are all really fun!-Mommy, FM wife, Disney Planner and Hoosier
