  • Getting back on track

Ever since vacation I can not get my diet back on track. Jut crazing sweets and fatting food,Oh and working out as much as i was Forget about it

How do I get back on track? I tried on my "skinny" pants and they were tighter than the last time I tried them on.

When I need to refocus on my eating I do a pretty restrictive diet for about a week. That usually "resets" my appetite and which foods I'm craving. Vacation gets my body used to "bad" foods so I take a week to train it to like "good" foods in the right quantities again. Have you ever read the "philospher's diet"? It's my fall back when I just cannot seem to get motivated any other way. I know there are not really any "bad" or "good" foods and everything is okay in moderation, but this is what I do to get myself back to being moderate.

This may sound overly basic, but when my eating signals are off, I make it a goal to actually feel hungry at least once a day. Not mouth hungry when my sweet tooth is talking to me, or brain hungry because of habits or boredom, but really hungry from an empty stomach. Sometimes it helps to start a day off with just a good glass of juice, and then don't eat again until you are actually, tummy-grumbling hungry. It's actually a good feeling, at least briefly. That usually helps my body to reset and start sending better signals again.
