I see an NP for all of my lady issues (15 yrs training and didn't judge me in college ) whom I adore. I'm on the frequent flyer list of my ENT, as all of my sickness almost ALWAYS is a result of an ear issue. We have a family practice doc who I used to see pretty regularly, due to the ears, but since I've been referred out, have only gone back for physicals and the like.. oh the joys of having ears of a three year oldsigpic

How about just a GYN if you cannot find an IM that specializes in women's health? Here, there are several OB/GYNs are only choosing to do the GYN. DH and I both go to an IM doc (love him) but we only see him annually - maybe one other time for minor stuff. So, I really have not had any women's health issues. This is why I stopped going to the GYN as well. I figured I'd try the one stop shop at the IM clinic. Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

I have my OB/GYN 5 minutes from home for girlie stuff and a great IM 20 minutes away. I don't like going to the doctor though so I usually end up getting a girlie check every other year, and see my IM when I really need her (asthma, allergies, etc.).
I once had a one-stop-shop doc. I fired her after I had a horrendous female issue that she did not treat properly. Thankfully my OB/GYN was able to diagnose the problem and treat it properly (fibroids).Veronica
