Chrisada and I were chatted and thought it might be the perfect time to start up a new challenge! October is here! For me that means yummy pumpkin deserts, Halloween candies, and the start of the best eats all year. The weather is getting much cooler and I need motivation to keep moving through the end of the year to reach my weight loss goals for 2012. Come on! Who's in for a new challenge for the next three months??? If we have enough members Chrisada and I will request a new sub forum to be set up.

Are you thinking it'll be self-driven goals or weight-loss, etc. I'd love to start walking on my treadmill again, but being pregnant, obviously weight will be going in the wrong direction regardless. It would be fun to post my modest workouts here though if it is self-goals.Wife to PGY4 & Mother of 3.

I'm in. Although mild suggestion...if we do workout updates can we post all in the same threads. Multiple threads by each person clogs up the "new posts" page and I'm less likely to go into each one and post a "good job"Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

Marissa, that sounds like a good idea. Tara, my "baby" is three and I will be losing the rest of that weight by then end of November when I come to Nashville if it's the last thing I do. If you're goal is just to workout more and not necessarily lose weight that's cool. We just wanted something for all of us powering through the food holidays. Lord, Help me.

Oh, we will! You are on my list. You live right down the street from my mom and we are there for a solid week.Last edited by Chrisada; 10-01-2012, 01:45 PM.Tara

My baby is 13. LOL I'm in too. I'll check out my fitness pal or be friends with anyone on other fitness minister sites. I have a Fitbit and that site was pretty cool when I used it.Angie

Hey you guys, how's the fitness challenge going? I need to join you for some motivation. I think I'm pretty good when it comes to weight and healthy eating, but I fell off the workout wagon after the wedding this summer and haven't gotten back on. I went to a yoga class a week ago... My problem is when to fit it in. Most of the classes I like at my gym start at 5:30. 5:45 or even 6:30. I get done with work at 5 and could easily make it to one of these, but fixing dinner and getting things done around the house is usually a priority for me, and getting out of a class at 6:45 or 7:45 really kills my evening. The weekend classes suck at my gym. We share one car, so going in the morning isn't an option when DH is heading to class...
I need to start doing my own thing at the gym -- even if I fit in 20-30 minutes on the elliptical, bike, or treadmill I'd be better off, and I could probably get to the gym and home again by 6 in order to make dinner. So. I need to get off my lazy butt. Tell me what you all are up to!Wife of PGY-4 (of 6), cat herder, and mom to a sassy-pants four-nager.
