Yeah, when you can hear your heart beat in your head, that is a good time to slow things down...

I survived. I spent a lot of time in child's pose with sweat dripping off of me, thinking to myself "u idiot".
But I survived and may do it again if my legs every stop shaking.

If u don't like sweat then I would not recommend it. At one point I wasn't sure if I was crying or sweat. It was really intense!!
They said I should do it 4-6 times a
Week to really see results
I also added a Pilates class on Tuesday night to help get ready for a beachy vacay!

I am attending a slow flow (I think) class at the end of February for a MNO thing. I never go to these (with the exception being dinner with the Dallas Med Spouse Brain Trust ), but the studio is less than 2 mi. from our home.
My fitness instructor goes there, and the class is donation-based. I want to know more!

You get used to the heat. The first month or so of classes, I kept talking about how HOT it was. Now, I'm kind of thrilled to walk in to that sauna-like room. Of course, it's winter so it's kind of a treat. I may not feel so happy about it in the middle of summer.
Slow flow is pretty mellow. Lots of focus on moving with the breath (breath in as you do this, breath out as you do that...) but the pace is slow. Sometimes, this can result in long holds if the teacher is so inclined. Long holds can be fine, but can also feel like torture if - say - the teacher decides to tell a parable and interpret its meaning while you are in plank position or side angle. (I HATE SIDE ANGLE!)
