  • FitBit v Jawbone UP

I know some of you said you have the jawbone and love it. Has anyone tried the newer FitBit bracelets? I've been trying to read comparisons and I can't really tell which is better. The only real benefits I see with the fitbit is that I could swim with the FitBit force in (not that swim often, but it happens) and that I can keep using my fitness pal - which already has so many of the food I eat stored in it.

I asked mg mom for the UP and think she already ordered it, but then was thinking about getting one for my sister and saw the FitBit bands - which I didn't realize existed. I'd rather us have the same one. Not sheet he swimming thing is enough of a reason to deal with the return.... Hummmm.

I'm 99% sure you can link the jawbone up to my fitness pal, too, no? I know it links with several popular food and exercise tracking apps.

    Yup: http://www.tuaw.com/2013/05/06/using...lories-and-wo/

if you get the up, when you do, let me know so we can be teammates!

      I link mine to myfitnesspal...

I haven't been wearing mine for a couple weeks...I need to charge it and start wearing it again, it's such a good reminder to maintain healthy habits for me!

I will let you know. I think I'm going to go with the UP.

They are so similar. it's like comparing pink lady apples to honey crisps. Both are great - and when it comes down to it, both are apples... Kind of 😉

I've got the fitbit force and love it! I don't know anything about the jawbone but the force is really convenient.

Ha! Well I love them both - almost equally. I shouldn't have just assumed everyone felt that way 😉. As long as I can get out of the grocery store with a really good looking bunch of either, I am very happy.

Do we need to move this apple discussion to the debate thread??

                          Fuji is my favorite! Sweetest!

                          Thoughts on the fitbit one?

I replaced my fitbit one with the force and like it much better. The One occasionally popped off and it was starting to crack apart. To be fair, it's 2.5 years old. What I like about the force is it's on the wrist, it's water resistant, and it's got a watch, and it's super easy to set it for sleep. I LOVE the sleep feature, because it lets me know how many times I'm waking up (read: how high my anxiety levels are...)

                            Gala apples FTW!

You can't swim with the Force. It's only splash resistant. You can with the Flex. Hmmm.
