  • Oil Pulling?

This showed up on my Facebook feed today and I'm currently doing research. I've heard of and tried MANY homeopathic witches' brews for many years but this is totally a first! Anyone know about it? Tried it? Unfortunately I have a severe allergy to coconut so I'd have to tried Sesame Oil. For years I used to whiten my teeth with peroxide, I wonder if this is healthier, or more or less effective?

    This one's a little better:

I don't buy into it at all. It's the newest "woo-woo" thing to me.

The girl that did my facials in our last city tried it - claimed it was amazing. Her skin looked great while she was doing it.... I don't remember if she lost any weight.

Just the thought of swishing oil around in my mouth makes me gag a little. I'm going to call BS on this.

Yea it's pretty gross, I've done it a couple of days. Will probably try it for a little while. The weirdest thing is how one teaspoon starts so small in your mouth and by 20 minutes your mouth is completely full. I've also started rinsing with peroxide again. If I'm going to try to whiten my teeth I'll at least use a method I know works.

Teeth do feel clean afterward but I wonder if they're just greasy? The main thing I'm looking for is my cheeks have been more pink the last couple of months. I don't know if it's from the dry heat or what but if pulling clears up my complexion I'll believe in it. I've done too many nutso hippy things to not try this one.
