I do not think pork and hatch chili tamales are on the healthy side of things. I just could not pass it up. I told myself that I would only eat one...and I ate 3. Ughhh...savory gets me every.time! I should not complain because there are more sweets than savory stuff during this season.

Managed to avoid the food at the Christmas party last night. Came home hungry from all of the food smells and ended up having a sandwich. Darn. On track again today though.

I bet that sandwich was healthier/had less calories than if you had eaten at the party. So, you are ahead!

I have started to eat carrots with greek yogurt dip (I put a little pepper, powdered garlic, and a salt free multi seasoning) before I head out to eat. I have to serve it out in two ramekins...otherwise I sit there and eat almost the whole bag of baby carrots.

Portion control is something else I am working on.

I've been my lightest weight of the year (which is still 15lbs heavier than I'd like) for over a week and then 2 freaking tacos and a couple margaritas made me gain a pound. Not the end of the world, but I'm hosting a brunch this morning which involves Gouda and Beer Fondue and Baked Eggs with Chorizo. Husband suggested we work out beforehand, I said I wouldn't have time but maybe I'll make time. I was really hoping I'd get back down to my wedding weight by Christmas. Maybe it's still possible. 6 lbs in 11 days? OK maybe not.

That sounds like water retention from all the salt IMHO.

I agree. Don't freak out too much, but maybe take it easy at the brunch. I'm usually less excited to eat food that I've made - so maybe you'll get lucky. Plus you'll likely be busy hosting - so less time to nibble.

6lbs in 11 days is probably not going to happen without something drastic and borderline unhealthy. 3lbs probably could though.... Maybe. Could you give yourself until New Years? That's probably more realistic.

Major fail at the holiday dinner party. I did good during the meal, but them gorged on fancy ice cream and homemade truffles during dessert. I went on a super long walk yesterday afternoon, but I still don't think it came close to making up for my Friday night.

Don't worry, considering I've only been able to lose a grand total of 8 pounds all year I'm tired of failing. Expecting 6 lbs by Christmas is pretty unrealistic, guess I'd just hoped I'd lost a couple more pounds this week. BUT since October I HAVE gone to see my PCP to make sure I'm not deficient in anything / have a thyroid problem (I don't) and this week had the Mirena taken out, so I officially have no excuses. If I lose, gain, maintain, it's all on me. I leave for Mexico on 1/10, maybe I should aim for wedding weight by then.

I did run for 30 min on the treadmill before brunch. Didn't eat a lot but certainly didn't eat a little. Tomorrow is a new day. But brunch was a success!

Lots of log deliveries going out. A few as presents from kids to their elderly parents. I always stack for the old folk, no need for gym today.

I lost the pound! If I'm able to lose even 2 pounds by Christmas It'll be a total of 10 lost this calendar year.

I did so well today and then I made the mistake of telling husband (who's worried I'm not working out as much as I used to) what I've eaten today. He told me it's not healthy so I promptly got up and made myself some food. I'm still hoping with my .2 status this morning I'll be in a new group of tens tomorrow.

JDAZ, are you still going to as many classes as you were earlier this year? I remember you were killing it on the 2014 thread.

Doing the HIIT stuff 2x a week and walking more the rest.
Today is a timed mile with the double stroller... And weigh-in.
We'll see what's been going on.
