They're opening up a Fit4Mom location nearby next month. It's not really in my part of town, but it's not terribly far away. They have 2 evening classes a week plus weekend classes, and I could do the working mom membership. So, I'm thinking about trying it out. The Stroller Barre is especially interesting! Thirteen - this is what you do too, right? I need to seriously get in shape. The evening classes aren't ideal, from 6-7pm (we usually eat dinner at 5 and put E to bed at 7), but I talked to the instructor and she said she'd consider something earlier since her kiddos go to bed around 7 too. Or I could actually get my butt out on the weekends and go. Thoughts? Encouragement?

One of my old workout buddies from AZ does it now and loves it. I would totally do it after our babies get here if we had it (we don't). Paying for childcare on top of paying for fitness classes is not an exciting proposition. (I don't even like to pay for parking if I'm already paying for a yoga class!).

Yes, and I love it.
Body Back I haven't done, but everyone I know who has LOVES it. The Barre classes are a separate membership (I believe?) but also great. Going on 4 years now, and three different franchises.

To see results fast, I'd say at least 3 classes a week. 4 seems to be the magic number for loss and maintaining.

As far as I can tell, stroller strides and stroller barre are the only classes offered. I didn't think barre was separate, but I'm not 100% sure. I think I'll be lucky to make 2 a week!Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

I go 2x a week right now, and it's still a hell of a workout, so you'll be fine!

Ok, I just checked, and the membership does include both. I think I'll wait until after swimming lessons are over and then give it a try, even though it's going to be crazy hot by then.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer
