  • Fasting Mimicking Diet

It was all over the Google health news today. Anyone see it? Any thoughts? The study population was only 19 people. It was like a veterinary study! Ha Ha!

Here's a link to one news source on it.

I've seen discussions on intermittent fasting in the bodybuilding forums. But there is no way I could last 8+ hours without food. I admire all the folks who can for religious reasons. It would take some serious friend support!!! This just seems like a super low "reset".....might be doable. I'd love to see the actual recommended foods though.

Interesting. Five days doesn't seem horrendous overall but I would imagine you'd be exhausted during that period.

I read this a few months back: http://dailyburn.com/life/health/int...sting-methods/ Dh has always naturally eaten in the manner of the Warrior fast and our 18 year old kind of tends to that way. They both just feel better not eating (odd ).

I've always felt like my preference for working out first thing in the morning on an empty stomach works best for me, which means a 10-12 hour fast (I do put soy milk in my morning tea). It's really hard to stay within 1200-1500 calories a day otherwise. Come to think of it i fasted at least 15 hours yesterday....Maybe I should try to regiment that a little more with one of these plans.

But holy shit. 36 hour fast? That's crazy.
