O.K. I'm going to report in for the month of July
Date Description
2 3.5 miles (steep hill work)
4 6
6 3
8 9
9 light weights
10 4.5
11 roller blade/weights
13 4 plus 15 minutes of speedwork
16 8 (very slow in 90+ degrees)
19 4 plus light weights
21 2 plus weights
23 14 (slow)
26 4 plus weights
28 2 plus weights
31 10 (very fast)
Current issues--
1) My second toe nail is turning black and pulling away from the skin.
2)I'm getting road wear on my underarms and can't seem to make it go away with Body Glide. I'm also sporting a permanent bruise on my waist from the edge of my water (fanny) pack. I'm looking a little road worn.
3) My current long run partner is kickin' my butt six ways from Sunday. She is much faster than me. (The most humbling aspect of this is that she is seven years older than me and has one more child than I do. She is Lance and I am a mere domestique. Working with her is bound to do one of the following: a) spur me on to better times; b) make me vulnerable to injury; or c) provided a welcome diversion to mind numbing long runs. Advice? Anyone?
