    too cute! although I'm increasingly frustrated w/cake pans for which there is one use.

    but that would be adorable on an orange sponge cake drizzled w/honey.

      That is my first thought. The second is -- I'll bet that is a big pan, where would I put it?

        The finished cake is only 6 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter....or so says the link....Someday I will have a kitchen big enough for specialty pans.....of course I'll probably just forget I have them and make plain rounds anyway!

          I love the cake stand it is on. If I had room, I would collect cake stands.

            how lovely! rather than cake stands, I have a thing for gravy boats. It started out organically - I just ended up having several of them after my mom died. Now I've got a couple of unusual ones, and I really dig them.

            It's a nice tie-in to the memory of my mom, who always liked to say that gravy was her favorite beverage.
