  • Mocktails

I pride myself on always having awesome drinks for guests. BUT, I am going to a farewell party (for me) thrown by my staff, and I don't want to get them all wasted, or driving intoxicated. Does anyone have good recipes for mocktails or cocktails that would still taste great sans alcohol?

Spicy Bloody Mary mix is always yummy- get some different veggies to use as stirrer- asparagus spears, celery sticks, carrots and don't forget to have lemon and lime wedges to garnish.

As we discussed in another thread- Tonic Water w/ a lime is always yummy to me.

I'll think some more. I'm personally not all that into fruity drinks but I'm sure the frozen bacardi mixes would be fine as virgin cocktails- the pina coloda is fine on it's own- if you want, you can always buy rum flavoring and put a drop or two in the drink mixes. Hmmm, what to use to flavor it- I'd use a lime-aid to enhance a strawberry dacquiri mix and maybe a pineapple juice to make the pina colada.

I was recently introduced to a new way to drink beer- (great in the summer) that could easily be done w/ Kaliber or other 'near beers'- salt the rim of a lager glass, pour beer over ice, squeeze a ton of lime in it and enjoy.
