  • Strawberry snafu

I like to take sour cream, make it creamy, and then add a little bit of sugar. I put a spoonful of it on top of fresh strawberries. Yummy. It's not as sweet as taking whipped cream, and it brings out the natural sweetness of the strawberries.

I've got the sour cream, the sugar, but no strawberries. They were looking SO good at the grocery store, which is a rarity around here. I had them while checking out, was salivating about them on the drive home, but they must have gotten stuck at the start of the belt-thingy and didn't make it into my bags.

Part II: dh was out and about and I told him to swing by and pick up some strawberries.

They're really sweet and flavorful, I'm surprised! Go get some!

How do you make sour cream creamy? I love sweetened sour cream on crepes.

I just take a spoon and mix vigorously.
This time I lightly coated the strawberries with sugar and put the sour cream on top (unsweetened).
