    Foodies, Germans, and/or German foodies

    I need a recommendation for a good breakfast muesli. We had some at a hotel a couple months ago and I can't replicate the taste. (IKEA's brand comes the closest.) What brand do you all recommend?

    Yes, this may be the weirdest pregnancy craving EVER!

      Aw, you're good for a laugh. My favorite line from that one is " you're not in high finance considering your second-hand underpants". (or something like that).

          Call the hotel and ask! You don't have to say your name!

          I'm not a big fan of yoghurt here (if you have German yoghurt, you'll never go back!), so I don't really have much experience with muesli here. Sorry!

            It's a very similar consistency to Greek yoghurt - creamy goodness. They do much more with nuts, chocolate, different kinds of berries. The one thing that irritates me about American yoghurt is that its consistency is like jello and tastes like it's full of preservatives. You can pour German yoghurt into a bowl. Yum.

              European yogurts generally rock the universe. I drowned myself in it when we were in Russia.

              I have found a French Canadian brand at the chi-chi grocery store that I'm buying a lot and I do love the Fage.

              As for the Muesli- Kelly- there's a pretty big selection of German foods at the Commissary- I'd be happy to send you a selection of what they have! (seriously, it's no biggie, I'm there once a week)
