Williams-Sonoma had a sale on older colors of Le Crueset last year, so we went during the height of xmas shopping on their 30%-off Friends and Family sale and scored the little oval lime-green one.

We are fussy about our colors, I think they are all pretty, so I take whatever colors they have. Last year at the sale they had quite a few of the slate gray ones of all sizes/shapes on sale.

I made the bunt cake today. It was yummy. For some reason it was rather moist. This made moving it very hard. The bottom just wants to fall out. Falling apart did not change the fact that is it super yummy. J saw me getting ready to post pictures and suggested (jokingly) that I should take a picture of him stuffing his face with it going, num num num. That was his nice way of saying he liked it.

Here're my mini-bundts. I couldn't get the glaze smooth. But the cake was very moist and yummy! I think it would work with a dusting of powdered sugar instead of the glaze.

I've been eating my cake w/o any glaze at all, and it rocks.

                  Chopping lots of onions

After the first hour of roasting

                  After the second hour

                  Deglazing for the second time

                  Done!
