  • Popcorn Cake

This is a fun recipe and it is great to make with the kids. I made this cake for an assignment in my Speech class during my college days. I have also made it for a potluck at work in the past. Every time I make it, everybody loves it. Enjoy!

    Description:
    Popcorn cake/snacks
A popcorn "ball" shaped like a cake
Great for company spreads/children & adult parties
A favorite snack for the whole family

    Ingredients:
1 Small package of popcorn(not microwave)
    1/2 lb. M&Ms
    1 Stick of mazola margarine(butter)
    6 oz. Peanuts
    1 lb. miniature marshmallows

    Directions:
    1. Grease bunt cake pan with butter and set aside
    2. Pop popcorn and set aside in a medium to large mixing bowl
    3. Melt margarine and mix with marshmallows in a medium sized pot on medium heat
    4. Remove the melted margarine and marshmallows from heat and pour on popcorn
****Cover entire spoon with butter**** It is a good idea to butter your hands, too. This will make it stir easier
    5. Mix M&Ms and peanuts with the popcorn and stir(the kids can help with this part)
    6. After all of the ingredients are mixed well, pour the mix in the bunt cake pan and place in the pan to give it a cake appearance.
    7. Place in the refrigerator for about an hour or two and it is ready to serve.

    ***Be creative when adding ingredients***
**optional ingredients are raisins, walnuts, different types of M&Ms, etc.**
