  • Booze brownies

So, my friends (especially those who don't drink) love my Kahlua/rum brownies. DH stopped at the liquor stor to pick both up for me and found Bailey's on sale. He convinced me to try that instead. I have never baked with it. I usually add 1/4-1/3 cup of each. Should I do the same? Less? More? Can I do Bailey's and rum or should I just use Bailey's?

    Bakers- Can you help? Thoughts?

yum I love Baileys! just go buy some kahlua and drink the Bailey's while you bake.
Really, I think they will still be fantastic, but they'll probably have a little bit of a different flavor. I think still using the rum would be fine.

I know you already have a recipe, but I feel like if I don't share this one with you I will be depriving you. These cupcakes are fantastic. I mean...really really good.

You're all killing me. It just so happens that I have one lonely Guinness left in the fridge.

Mmm. I'm making those. I also have a friend who makes Irish Car Bomb (Guiness and whisky, I think) cupcakes with Bailey's frosting. I'm going to hound her for that recipe, too.

Those ones actually have bailey's in the frosting AND the ganache. Which is awesome because those things aren't baked so they keep all of the rich amazing irish cream flavor. hmmm I think I might need to get in the kitchen.

I make a kick ass Black Russian Brownie- some of you received it for the cookie exchange one year. (vodka and kahlua)

I bet the recipe is stuck in some thread from way back when...
