  • Fail Safe Pork Tenderloin

Anyone have a fail safe, yummy, pork tenderloin recipe?

    Maybe something with apples?

We're having an ooooooooooold college friend and his family over for dinner Saturday and I'm looking for something I can put in the oven and not have to tend to.

Sides suggestions would be great too, no allergies.

    Thanks!

Check out Sam's or Costco for pre-marinated ones Serve with some green beans and twice-baked potatoes. Now I'm hungry...

Easy, fail-safe and our favorite pork recipe. Marinate it all day, prep it completely in a casserole dish and leave in fridge. I pull it out of the fridge 45 minutes before I want to put in the oven to let it to warm up. It's so incredibly easy and frees you up to visit. Even if you don't use it for this night keep the recipe. My kids love this too. After the meat has set I slice it into medallions and layer them on a long dish and drizzle with some of the sweet sauce. I put any extra sweet sauce into a gravy dish to top the medallions and rice with on individual plates.

                Honey Sesame Pork Tenderloin

                1 lb whole pork tenderloin
1/2 cup soy sauce (I recommend using low-sodium soy sauce)
                2 garlic cloves , minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger , grated
1 tablespoon sesame oil (I like more seasame oil for flavor0
                1/4 cup honey
                2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
                4 tablespoons sesame seeds

                Directions:
1 Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil.

2 Place tenderloin in a resealable plastic food storage bag and pour the soy sauce mixture into it.3Marinate for 2 hours in the refrigerator. **I do not recommend marinating this any longer than 2 hours - as the pork will become too salty tasting**.
(I've never noticed this and I usually marinate it all day...)

4 Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

5 Remove pork from marinade and pat dry with a paper towel.

6 Mix honey and brown sugar on a small bowl.

7 Place tenderloins in a shallow pan or casserole dish and drizzle the honey mixture on top.

8 Sprink sesame seeds on top.

9 Roast in a shallow pan for 20 to 30 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 160 degrees.

10 Suggested to serve over rice. I usually serve with asparagus, brussel sprouts or sauteed green beans

I always do a pulled pork with tenderloin. I use the pulled pork McCormick seasoning packet and let it cook all day in the crock-pot. Serve it up on rolls or tortillas and whatever side dishes I'm feeling that day. Totally yummy, super easy, and always a hit with adults and children alike .

                  But Ladybug's sounds more impressive

We just did that McCormick seasoning pack for pulled pork this week. We tossed in a pork shoulder and is was delish! DH said it's his new favorite easy button dinner. We used in totillas for two nights, and then served over mashed potatoes with a side of asparagus the third night. Yum!

That's a great idea! Think I'll be going to the store today to prep for the weekend.

                        Ladybug you are FABULOUS!

I also do pulled pork - just dump the tenderloin in with a bottle of BBQ sauce - SUPER easy.

                        Thanks ladies!
