I ordered the Zo bread machine. Ive been obsessing about it for awhile. I'm so excited for fresh, ingredient-controlled bread, rolls, pizza, jam(!). M, I need all you favorite recipes and links.

My family ate a 2 pound loaf in 12 hours. I'm gonna call that a success. I made a blackberry, cranberry and orange zest jam too. its a little tart, but they seem to be eating it. I'm going to try the delay setting tonight and have it ready in the morning.

        Yum!

I dont have any recipies but fresh baked bread sounds so yummy! I have made blackberry jam but used my canner, so can't comment on making it in a machine.

        Enjoy!

I don't have a machine, but I made a cinnamon raisin loaf yesterday and it is so good!
My first attempt at something different than sandwich bread.

          Fresh bread really is amazing.

I got a bread machine for my birthday...beer bread should be ready in the morning!

After telling me for weeks how stupid bread machines are (I think he largely based his opinion off the scenes in Old School where Will Ferrell is trying to ditch the bread machine he got for his wedding), DH is now eyeing it with interest. The cinnamon roll and danish recipes caught his eye and he decided to be a backseat driver while I put together the first loaf.

Apparently he thought bread machines were the adult equivalents of easy bake ovens...he thought all they did was bake dough you had to make from scratch. Haha!

Thirteen, I'm an amateur gluten-free baker too. I recently achieved a loaf of 100% whole grain buckwheat and brown rice sandwich bread -- no starches, super healthy, and it actually rose well. Most people I know couldn't understand my crazy, uncontainable excitement about that.

The beer bread was kind of a bomb...I learned the importance of bread flour. I'm also going to stick to the "light" crust setting from now on. 2nd loaf of cinnamon swirl bread was a hit with DH. I'm loving this!

                    It's no easy feat!
I have a sandwich bread recipe that is all based on extra-finely ground brown rice. Any deviations I do involve adding different flavors/elements, and seeing what happens.
I have gourmet-grade xanthan gum, and that makes a huge difference.

I'm reviving a thread from last year. I bought a used bread machine ($10, it's clean and works well). I wanted to experiment with an inexpensive machine before I took the plunge and purchased a fancy-schmancy one. I'm primarily using it for mixing dough and then I'm baking in the oven either with a bread pan or shaping the loaves/rolls myself. I wanted to simplify the process of making challah.

So, now that I'm experimenting. . . I'm looking for tips and recipes. Anybody?

I get the most use out of mine when I follow the recipes that came in the instruction manual (you could probably look it up online if you don't have the original). They're simple and made for the machine. It's not the pretty loaves you get from baking it yourself, but it's so easy and yummy!

Sure, bring it on. I'm trying a bunch of different things and learning as I go along. I made a really nice raisin walnut bread tonight.
