  • What's for lunch?

What do you guys do for lunch on holidays? DH is on call today, so that's easy! Tomorrow, we are having crab legs, twice-baked potatoes, green beans for dinner, but I am at a loss as to what to have for lunch. His parents are coming in on Thurs. and we are having a prime rib roast - but again - what for lunch?

We usually do leftovers or meat trays for sandwiches. There are usually so many munchies and cookies/treats that not very much real lunch is eaten.

      Crudite and cheese and crackers.

And part of the holiday treat/splurge for me is I get the pre-prepped veg tray from the deli.

Also considering adding apples and grapes and a fruit dip tomorrow.

This comes between a breakfast casserole and earlyish dinner.

This is us too. We normally do a bigger breakfast during the holidays, so lunch is either a sandwich from leftover meat or just some random nibbles sitting around the kitchen. Today I had what my DH calls a toddler lunch (string cheese, nuts, cherries, carrots, and white chocolate pretzels)

We're doing takeout Chinese tomorrow while vegging in pjs and watching Christmas movies. Hot chocolate and cookie bar for dessert so today I'm trying to be healthy. Green tea, fruit and veggies.

Lunch?! I am stressing to throw together our traditional cinnamon roll breakfast and beef roast dinner -- folks are on their own for lunch, LOL. No, in all honesty I will likely make DH a nice hearty salad on his way to work tomorrow.

The problem is that it's only the three of us, and I didn't bake. I picked up some Chinese from the grocery store when I went to get the 4 lbs. of crab legs! I have very low expectations for tomorrow since DH is post call, and it's supposedly been a sh!t show all weekend :/
