I bought saffron for this yummy sounding chicken recipe. It's the most expensive spice I've ever bought - $20 a bottle. And it's not even a full spice bottle. It's a vial inside a regular bottle. And the chicken was just meh. I need some good recipes with saffron so I don't waste any more. Help please!

Sorry, don't have any recipes, but next time you need saffron, find an Indian grocery if possible. You could get the same amount for about $5 and the quality is just as good.

Good to know! I'll need to plan ahead, though; I think the closest Indian grocery store is about 45 miles away...

We're likely thinking of the same place... The closest one I know about is in Plano. Haven't been there, though!

Otherwise look for spice houses. I bet you have something local.

When I think saffron I think paella. Or Indian saffron rice.

Paella, yum! (That's what we use our saffron for)

Hate saffron...but a lot of the cookinglight empanada gallega recipes use it in the dough. (Though I omit it, haha)
