  • Will it feed 13?

DW away doing a half ironman and we've 13 for dinner to hear the story. It's a venison bourgignon with 7lbs of haunch from a spring Roe buck, red onions, chestnut mushrooms and two bottles of Burgundy wine. But will it feed 13 hungry athletes? Serving with baked potatoes and carrots. I may need to do something else for kids to have on their potatoes!

    Fingers crossed!

      +1.

I love venison, and haven't had any in over a year.

        Great idea! Thanks.

We do enjoy venison. It's taken from our own farm. Food miles=25 yards in this case!

Also a green? Either a salad, haricot vert, broccoli? Add some color to the plate as well as substance.

              Sounds delicious!

You might just have to double your recipe for all of us that might be tempted to head across the pond for a meal like that!

It made it through 14 with seconds! Wonderful evening. DW did a 6hr 10 half ironman in difficult windy conditions and we also gave a roaring send off to our pal whose representing GB at the European Duathlon champs next week.

                          No problem doubling recipe.........
