We made fall pizzas today (homemade dough, BBQ sauce, arugula, goat cheese, corn, and carmelized onions) and Gypsy soup (Moosewood recipe). Plus we made sweet potato quinoa burgers to freeze and put up for the times when we both work super late.

I made E some sweet potato fries last night with pumpkin pie spice.

Also, for a good starter greens recipe, I really liked these: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2...e-quesadillas/

Made 3 gallons of corn chowder! Thanks for suggestions on sauteing greens. Think I'll try Swiss chard next.

Pumpkin pie spice on sweet potato fries sounds fantastic!!

It's almost time for me to make some chicken tortilla soup! I also just found a recipe for a sort of twist on chicken noodle soup - uses orzo instead of egg noodles, has lemon juice and rosemary. Official title is Lemon Chicken Orzo soup.

I'm also on the hunt for a good, flavorful, garlicky creamy tomato soup. I had a phenomenal bowl at a french restaurant a few weeks back and have been craving a duplicate ever since. I tried one recipe but it fell super flat. Anyone who has one they can share?? I would really appreciate it!

I made a really good butternut squash quinoa (fake) Mac and cheese a few weeks ago. I combined a bunch of recipes/just kind of improvised with what I had, but it was great. (I actually also put pulled chicken and a bunch of veggies in it, which was awesome.).

Roast chicken and acorn squash tonight. I love how DH and I have roasting a whole chicken down to a 5-10 minute routine. One person gets the chicken out and pats it dry while the other mixes spices, salt and pepper. Then the person who already has messy chicken hands rubs oil and spices in while the second person peels onion and garlic to stuff inside. Oven is preheating the whole time, and we finish by the time it's hot! It's way better than when we used to put more effort into the recipes. Of course, disassembling the leftovers and making stock takes more time after dinner.
