  • Ice Cream Recipes!

I upgraded our old ice n salt ice cream maker to a cool new Cuisinart with a bowl that freezes instead. We made our first batch last night--strawberry. So yummy!

I also made this last night and it will be ready to freeze today:

    Any favorite ice cream recipes?

JENIS has a recipe book, too! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1579654363/

Their brown butter almond brittle ice cream is SO AMAZINGLY GOOD.

We haven't made any in a while (we have the ice cream bowl for our kitchenaid), but I liked making chocolate hazelnut and coffee with dark chocolate bits in it (similar to B+J's CoffeeCoffeeBuzzBuzzBuzz)

We have the Jeni's book too. It won a James Beard cookbook award so yeah, it's great! Especially if you can get local cream at a farmers market. Amazing!

          My fav is
          Mangoes
          Lime juice
          Honey
          Ginger (fresh)
          Mint (fresh - garnish)
          sorbet.

I don't really have a recipe I just go by taste.

            ^That sounds fantastic

I'm thinking of doing a cherry chocolate custard next. We have so many cherries

            This might be bad

This sounds so delicious. I have a kitchen aid so I guess I should buy the ice cream bowl

I have the kitchenaid bowl but if you use frozen mangoes, you make it in the vitamix.

Yes, as long as your blender can handle it. Ours could not but the vitamix can.
