  • Does anyone have a recipe for apple crisp?

Hey everyone - I am looking for a good recipe for apple cobbler or apple crisp. We have tried a couple, but can't find one that we like. We have a ton of apples that we need to get rid of, so I thought I would make another attempt at it. Thanks a ton!

For an 8"x8" dish, I usually add a little sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice to the apples (if you use other fruits or berries you might want to add some flour as thickener). For the topping, I mix 1/3 c flour, some cinnamon, 1 c oats, 2/3 c brown sugar and then add in about 1/3 c melted butter. I'm not exact and it usually turns out. You can add chopped nuts to the topping if you like.

For a cobbler, you can use a basic biscuit recipe with some sugar added (maybe 1/4 c) or bisquick biscuit dough with some sugar and just drop heaping tablespoons on the apples.
