Does anyone have a particularly tasty way to prepare pumpkin seeds?? We're carving tomorrow ...

spray some Pam on them, coat well, and sprinkle with paprika and/or other hot peppery stuff. then, the second they're done baking- sprinkle on some parmesan. (not a neat and clean snack, either)

Yup, you'll make yourself sick, so it's good thing it's a once a year holiday.

Sprinkling with some kosher salt is yummy too. I'd say 350 or 400 until they look brownish.

We're carving tomorrow, too! Fingers crossed that DH will be there and not attending a dermatologic emergency ( ) since he is on call......

I second the salt. Layout them out on a cookie sheet, sprinkle them with salt and bake until they are golden brown, yummy!

Or garlic salt. And it'd be neat to use olive oil in a Misto to grease 'em up. Mmm. Almost makes me want to buy a pumpkin at the store today!

I don't suppose there is any way to prepare them with something sweet instead of salty? We're going to be carving pumpkins today as well, and I'll bet I just pitch the inner contents, but I'm tempted to season with brown sugar or something more along those lines.

Hmmm....I would try some sugar and cinnamon after lightly coating them with Canola oil.
If you try it, let me know how they turn out.

I found a recipe. Looks like you need to roast them first.

I like the idea of adding a little cayenne with the cinnamon.
The difference could be the sugar as it might burn in the oven after 20 minutes??
