  • Turkey drumsticks

Sounds good to me. I need super cheap meal ideas like this. I will pick some up at the store tonight or tomorrow - when I get around to going. Thanks for posting.

I'm definitely going to try this one.

One question: do you need to add any liquid to it (besides the Worcestershire sauce) before starting the crockpot?

I'm trying to imagine what this turkey dance looks like!

Sounds good and easy. I'm going to try this one, too.

I made this for dinner tonight, but substituted chicken drumsticks for the turkey and it turned out great! I'll definitely make this again, thanks Annie!

I'll try this too. I love cheap and easy (and anything to make the kids sleepy before bed).

I found some for $3.50 at my grocery store, and they are in the freezer for sometime soon. I don't think I will put them in for tonight though. Chad is on call, so it is a leftover night.

Okay, they are finally in the crockpot. I wonder, though, did I put enough Worchestershire sauce in? If you had to estimate a measurement, what would you say, Annie?

I bought them last night and plan to make them tomorrow. School starts for me on Monday and I am all about the crockpot now.

Annie, my SO doesn't like the homemade stuff. He actually prefers the stuff out of the can!

My parents have these close family friends who crack open a can and serve it in can-formation, standing up on a plate. You're just supposed to poke at it with a serving spoon, I guess.

I turn it on it's side and slice it - using the can indentations as guides . I do it totally as a joke, but truth be told, I love it (memories from my childhood maybe?).

My FMIL smashes it up for a while and puts it in a bowl so it "looks" homemade. SO loves it, like I said, but I just don't care for it.

For us the canned stuff is really because of childhood. Both DH and I grew up eating it and even if we have a "real" cranberry dish at Thanksgiving we have one can of the canned stuff.
