  • Odd food combos...

What are some odd food combos that you secretly enjoy?

DD #2 just made herself a melted marshmellow and PB sandwich...and it made me remember something that I CRAVED in both pregnancies. I mean I ate it EVERYDAY.

I would take a slice of bread, slap on some PB, and add a slice of american cheese...then pop in the mircowave for 20 seconds. YUM, and I would wash it down with HUGE glass of milk. I would actually make myself 2 or three of these at a time.

I just made one for the kids to try after I told them about it. The looks on their faces were priceless. The thought I was nuts....then they tried it and LOVED it.

I know when I was little I made PB/Cheese/Pastrami sandwiches. I made one once as an adult and nearly vomited after one bite.

Years ago (before I knew anything about what food actually contains), I used to eat a gherkin pickle wrapped in American cheese and a slice of bolonga. I did return to these for a bit during pregnancy #2. Otherwise I don't think I go for anything that unusual.

pickled jalapenos go great on PB & J sandwiches. I bought hot pepper jelly and used that but then I ran out- so I've improvised with the regular jarred jalapenos.

If course, I throw hot peppers in close to 90% of the food I eat.

I put peppers in just about everything as well!

I used to make PB sandwiches with M&Ms, marshmallows, and banana slices for dessert... SO GOOD!

I used to eat chocolate sandwiches with my mom as a child....butter some bread, throw on a Hershey bar...yum!

Russ puts tuna in his mac-n-cheese and I think it's gross....but I don't like cooked tuna.

This sounds like a version of the orange Cheese cracker & peanutbutter sandwiches that used to come wrapped in celophane...my mom used to put them in our lunch boxes!

Whoa...didn't realize how big the pic would be!
