    Corn bread?

    My son wants cornbread for Thanksgiving dinner. Specifically, corn bread bought at Boston Market. I'm hoping I can out cook the chain before the holidays with some help here. He likes the cornbread at Boston Market because it is slightly chewy and very sweet. Anyone got a recipe like that? Mom's isn't measuring up. Of course, I did check in to picking up a dozen or so when we last went to Boston Market.

    Somewhere in the wonderful world of the internet there is a website with recipes that try to duplicate popular chain restaurant foods.

    It's been a while but their cornbread seems sweet and cakey, so maybe something with more sugar and more flour than cornmeal?

      Me thinks I know what after school snack will be today.

      I can't believe they use cake mix!! DS is a total junk food addict, so I guess that makes sense. I suppose on Thanksgiving, I should just go with it and disregard the whole health issue. Still :w


      I think I'll try both. I like the idea of the skillet cornbread as well. I love the crusty outside. Yum. I wonder if these will cook up in a skillet using the same method? Maybe I should read the directions.

        Jiffy's Corbread Mix. It's SO good, it's all I use anymore. I soak it with butter when it comes out of the oven. Delicious and a whopping 50 cents.
