    Okay, I've heard enough. Maybe I'll go buy a crockpot. What should I get? (Think small and cheap.)

    There is another post around here where Alison/spotty_dog asked the same. I think you can get a good one for around $20. Cook's Illustrated rated them and their favorite was the Faberware 6Q cooker.

      Of course! The BB&B coupon! I think the Faberware one is around $30, not sure. And 6Q might be on the big side?

        You can cook a whole chicken in a crock pot?? Obviously, I haven't done this before.

          have you read the "Super Easy Indian Chicken" recipe? It's for a whole chicken!! (can be done w/pieces parts, too).
