Yikes CG, I can imagine that gives some interesting perspective!
I've just started The Monuments Men and am quite fascinated so far. I didn't see the movie so no spoilers!Wife of a surgical fellow; Mom to a busy toddler girl and 5 furballs (2 cats, 3 dogs)

I'm reading Defending Jacob now. Gosh, it takes me forever to get through a book these days.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

Almost halfway through "All the Light We Cannot See" which is beautifully written and very compelling. It might displace "The Goldfinch" as my favorite book of 2014, but we'll see (I'd also need to finish it before NYE).Wife, support system, and partner-in-crime to PGY-3 (IM) and spoiler of our 11 y/o yellow lab

I just finished Snow Falling on Cedars. It's a mystery about a suspected murder on an island just off the coast of Seattle. It's also a historical fiction though as it happens during WWII right after pearl harbor and this island is home to a large number of Japanese. The main suspect is Japanese and it does a great job of really getting into the discrimination and struggles of all different kinds of americans during that time. A really nice read.
After I finished reading I discovered that Seattle is a potential residency place. I think i'm going to start focusing on reading books from places we may end up. Could be an interesting way to cope. Anyone know of any books from Coeur D'Alene Idaho? Gah, I got cold just typing that...

Haha no, but I do enjoy reading books about places I visit. Makes it more interesting.
I've had Serena on my list to read for about 6 months now. I need to before the movie comes out in March. Supposedly it is really awful thoughMarried to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

I just finished 'Unbroken' which was fabulous. I'm also reading (listening to) 'The Stand' and purchased 'The Rose Effect' on Monday, which is the sequel to one of the most charming and witty books I read last year: 'The Rosie Project.' Already 5 books in for 2015!Wife, support system, and partner-in-crime to PGY-3 (IM) and spoiler of our 11 y/o yellow lab

I just finished The Rosie Project (which I *adored*), and am on the library wait-list for The Rosie Effect!
I just finished Us by David Nicholls (author who wrote One Day, which I loved), and it was really, really good.~Jane

I'm reading Brain On Fire: My Month of Madness now. I'm having a hard time getting into it because I keep stopping to ask DrK questions.

I have decided to read more in 2015 and to engage my mind while breastfeeding. So far I've read "Bossypants" and "All The Light We Cannot See", which was a page turner. Next up is "I Am Malala". My ILs got me a tablet stand for my bday and I can now read on the Kindle, especially at night, while still having my hands relatively free. Thanks to you all sharing your reads over the past year or so, I've got a nice list assembled.
WPW, glad you liked "Unbroken" - hoping to see the movie soon. I am a sucker for anything set in a historical time period, fiction or nonfiction. I also have "The Boys in the Boat" on my reading list.

(copied from another thread, probably more appropriate here)
Has anyone read 'The Girl on the Train'? I am number 170 on the holds list at the library. The longest holds list I've ever seen, by leaps and bounds. Must be a great book...if it's that good, I may just snag it from B&N, esp. if it's something I may want to actually add to our library.
