Lily, I think you have this too, right?

I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence by Amy Sedaris

Fab, fab, fab! I was laughing out loud in some parts and SO actually moved to the other room to read because I couldn't stop giggling. Perfect entertaining guide and recipe book for the rattled woman of today. Plus, the photos are priceless.

I got this for Christmas from my SIL and I'm looking forward to getting the chance to sit down and peruse.

The photos are definitely priceless and many parts are hysterical, but in general my OCD side prefers things a bit more organized. This one is going back to the library.

I made the mistake of buying the audio version of this for my road trip to Cleveland. (My Borders was out of the real thing, so I couldn't even peruse it to see that it's not something that would transfer well to audio).

I'm going to guess it's a whole lot better in print.

I'm too old. I didn't get it. I could laugh at parts, but it was forced. I only read her "entertaining the elderly" chapter when I was standing in the bookstore - but that was enough to know it wasn't for me.

It just seemed a little mean -- and not in a good way.
