Is anybody into him? Back in gradschool when I had all kinds of time and no dependents, I was able to read all his books (pre Mason and Dixon) - I even got through Gravity's Rainbow with two reference books.
When Mason and Dixon came out, I ran out and bought it, but was unable to slog through the 18th century dialogue, and eventually put it away.
I now have the new one out of the library - it's really good, but I only get to read it those few precious minutes each week when the kids are being quiet and I"m in the bathroom alone. At this rate I should finish sometime in 2009.

No, but I'm impressed that you're even trying. His tomes are too intimidating for me.
