Ok, I need some help! It's my turn to pick books for my bookgroup (I pick 3-4 and then everyone votes).
I'm going with a French theme because one person is traveling to France and I had a few books that sort of fit this theme. We don't have to do a theme but now that I have started it seems like a good enough idea.
Here's what I have so far:
Paris to the Moon by Adam Gopnik
My Life in France by Julia Child and Alex Prud'Homme
I was thinking maybe A Year in Provence? If I were choosing books for winter, I'd pick a classic but that doesn't seem to fit with spring and the end of the school year.
A little off-topic...our book group last night was great. I was able to go for one thing and even got there on time. We read Chocolat and the designated dessert-bringer fed us truffles, drinking chocolate, and a chocolate-chambord whipped cream tort thing. And we ate that while watching Johnny Depp in the movie.
