  • The Tipping Point -Malcolm Gladwell

Has anyone else read this non-fiction book? It came out in 2000 and is a wildly interesting analysis of how trends and epidemics occur, everything from the spread of STDs to teen smoking to fashion crazes. It reads like a lecture from your favorite college professor. I had a hard time putting this one down.

Yes, I read it. It was fascinating, especially the chapter about the success of Sesame Street. I enjoyed it too.

I read it. I thought it was very interesting.

It has been used in our public school system to describe the "flight" of the higher socio-economic students from schools that have a gradual increase of lower socio-economic students.

I read this one and Blink (also by Malcolm Gladwell ... I think there are reviews around here somewhere ...). I liked Tipping Point much better, but Blink was pretty good too.

I enjoyed this until the middle, where it started to get a little redundant. I do have a memory of what was discussed in previous chapters, and the constant reminder made me feel a little as if I were being talked down to.
