What is your opinion on John LeCarre?
After enjoying movies based on his novels: The Constant Gardner and The Tailor of Panama, I picked up Single and Single last week. His forward describing how his shaky relationship and confused feelings about his relationship with his father because of his nefarious dealings sucked me in from page one.
LeCarre's chapters typically throws the reader right into the middle of the scene without giving background, which can throw a reader off guard. Still, Single and Single is exciting and incredibly well written. (Oh to write like that!) I deeply appreciate the complexities of the the hero son in this story.
Two thumbs up.
